When do you need to provide us with your personal information?

ETHOS MEDIA S.A. can locate the IP address through which the computer or any other electronic device you use, accesses the internet and then the nplconfidential.com website. This is due to the way the internet works and aims to safeguard networks from malicious actions.  For the same reason, this feature collects information about the type of browser and the user’s operating system (windows, android, iOS, etc.).

This information is kept in log files on our website server for 12 months and then deleted securely.

The legal basis for the use of this information is our legitimate interest in the proper and safe operation of our website. You have the right to object to the use of your information for reasons related to your particular situation, provided that your rights and freedoms take precedence over our legal interests or over our need to collect the data to establish, exercise or support our legal claims. When you create a user account on our website

If you wish to create a user account on our website, in order to make a subscription, you will need to enter an email account, your name, your company, as well as a telephone number to receive notifications about your subscription.  Your data will be processed for the management of your account and for informative or advertising purposes through newsletters or notifications/news unless you expressly state that you do not wish to receive promotional messages. You can state that by exercising your right to object by email to dpo@ethosmedia.eu at any time.

Moreover, to create your account, you will be required to create a username and a personal password, which you will need to protect from third party access. You will also complete your billing details (VAT no, company name etc.).

To complete the creation of your account, you will be asked to pay for the type of subscription you chose, using a safe Viva Wallet plug-in, that will transfer you outside our website to a safe payment environment of the above Payment Provider. We do not collect or have access to any of your payment details. Payment can be completed via credit/debit/prepaid card, PayPal, or bank transfer. You will also be asked to agree to our terms of use.

When you register to any subscription plan, your profile will be accessible for the period of the subscription plan you chose (trial of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months), but your data will remain in our servers for 12 months so that you can reactivate your profile. All registered users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also access and edit that information. The details of the subscription orders that you submit to us, will be kept for 5 years from their submission, for the purposes of proving the contract and establishing, supporting, or exercising legal claims.

The legal basis for the collection and storing of the above personal data is the contract between us for the provision of your subscription. The legal basis for sending you newsletters, using your e-mail is our legitimate interest to promote our services.

When you submit your comments on one of our articles

If you wish to comment on an article on our website, respecting our terms of use, you should fill in the comment form of the respective article. Your name will be displayed on the website and to each of its subscribers.  We process this information based on your consent provided by the act of posting your comment. You can revoke this consent at any time, without retroactive effect, by sending a request to dpo@ethosmedia.eu. In this case your comment will be deleted in order to satisfy your right to withdraw consent.

If you choose to contact us using the contact form, none of the data you provide will be stored by this website. Instead, the data will be entered in an email and sent to us. Email content is encrypted before being sent over the internet to travel securely and is decrypted by our local computers and devices after it is received.

We will keep your message in our electronic mailbox for 12 months from the last communication, unless it includes your order to us, in which case it will be maintained for up to 5 years after the completion of our cooperation, for the purpose of proving our transaction and establishing / exercising legal claims that may arise on both sides within the prescribed limitation period.

How to exercise the above rights:

We may need to ask you for your identification information before we respond, to make sure that no one else is exercising your right.

Normally, your request will be met within one month of receipt, or if it is particularly complex, you will be informed at least within one month of the delay that the complexity of the request may entail.

Information and all relevant actions to respond to your requests are provided free of charge unless they are excessive or repetitive.
